All horses and competitors must be members of British
Dressage at the time of the competition (except for Walk & Trot
or Preliminary Classes
and those competing using the Class Ticket System). |
Rule 2 |

Dressage Office, or from the organiser on the day prior to competing. |

At Prelim

| Entries |
Entries must be received between the open & close dates specified
- early or late entries may be rejected. |
Rule 34 |
Please either pay on the day with cash or online using PayPal - cheques cost too much to process.
Failure to pay for internet entries within 5 working days may result
in the entry being rejected. |
34a(i) |
Times may be retrieved from the online database or via the telephone
hot-line during the times specified.
Competitors (or their agents) must collect their times as specified
- failure to collect times is deemed to indicate withdrawal. |
Rule 34(l)
|
Competitors do NOT need to provide stamped
addressed envelopes with their entries. Envelopes are only required
if you wish to
have your entry fee RETURNED in the event that you are balloted
or if
you wish to have your score-sheets posted to you after the competition
(rather than waiting for the end of the class). Please note that
we DO NOT post rosettes as they are too large for most envelopes
and get crushed in the post - you are more than welcome to pick
them up at a future show.
Envelopes provided
are available for collection with the scoresheets (see yellow
box on the score-sheets table beside the scoreboard). Unused envelopes
that are not collected may be destroyed at the end of the show.
Alternatively, stamped addressed envelopes can be purchased from
the secretary on the day. |
|
| Withdrawals & Refunds |
Withdrawals must be notified in writing (by post or email) to the
organiser as soon as possible. |
37 |
Full refund to those confirming in writing (e.g. email) withdrawal before close of entries (being usually 6pm the tuesday before the competition). No refunds after close of entries (except as allowed in Rule 38c and 38d). We do not enforce Rules 38b, 38e or 38f.

| Declaration |
Competitors should check the scoreboard (situation
at the top end of the lorry park, in the winter months this is
situated in a white marquee) upon arrival at the show site, checking
their
entry details and section as well as taking the opportunity to
confirm that they have the correct bridle number and start times
as well as in which arena their classes will be run.
The scoreboard may also include a request to "report to the secretary".
This may mean that we are missing important entry information, or
that you still owe us entry monies. Please report to the secretary
(whose office is located just inside the spectators door to the indoor
school) before competing, as any delay to provide such information
may
result
in the class
results
being
similarly
delayed. |
Local |
|
Competitors MUST declare their intention to compete with the
steward at least 15 minutes before their allocated time. Failure
to do so may result in your time being offered to other competitors
|
Rule 69 |
| Competitors riding in multiple classes who fail to declare
and show for any class without first having contacted the secretary
or other show official will have deemed to have withdrawn from all
subsequent classes. |

| Bridle Numbers |
Competitors MUST wear a bridle or saddlecloth number for affiliated
dressage.
The competitor must show their bridle number to the writer before
entering the arena. |
Rule 70 |
| Video |
Competitors are welcome to video their tests from any point
within the show-ground or arenas provided that
- the setting up and dismantling equipment does not interfere
in anyway with the running of the competition, nor with the execution
of any test. Video equipment must remain outside of the marked arena.
- the placement of the video equipment is not placed in such a manner
as to interfere with the judging of the test, nor be able to pick
up the spoken comments of the judge.
The judge's decision is final.

| Commanders |
Competitors are welcome to have their tests commanded, where
applicable, provided that the commander positions themselves safely,
outside of the marked area and away from the judges position.
Blue Barn Dressage may be able to provide a commander, however
this is not guaranteed especially if requested on the day. In the event
that we are able to help, we ask you to make a minimum donation
of £1 per test called that we will collect on behalf of Kent Air Ambulance. |
|
Results &
Score Sheets
|
Individual scores (except for H/C entries) will be posted on
the scoreboard approximately 20-30 minutes after a test is
completed.
Once a class is completed, remaining individual
scores and final class results will be posted within approximately
15-20
minutes.
Score sheets and rosettes will be available within 10 minutes
of the class results being posted. |
Local |
| Show Office |
Competitors are reminded that the secretary's office is a busy
place and that unnecessary interruptions WILL impede
the smooth running of the show, delaying scores and results processing.
Please do not hassle the secretary with questions about running
order, asking about commanders, when a individual or class results
will be written up or when score sheets will be available.
They can help you if you need to clarify entry details or pay
monies.
Competitors MUST NOT under any circumstance remove scoresheets,
rosettes, prize monies (or anything else) from the office without
the expressed permission of the secretary, at the very least this
can cause mass confusion with must time wasted hunting for score-sheets
that have already been taken surrepiciously, at worst it contravenes
Rule 94 - offenders may be reported to British Dressage.
Competitors depositing items within the show office do so at their
own risk unless a receipt is provided by the secretary. |
|
| Arena Stewards |
Arena stewards are located close to the warm-up arenas. They
don't like to warm florescent jackets or garrish hats - but they
can be
seen scrurrying about holding clipboards and radios.
Please report to the stewards as soon as you arrive in the warm-up
arenas.
Stewards are there to assist in the smooth running of the arenas;
if you have any queries or questions about the running order -
please speak to them and NOT the secretary in the first instance.
